About Doug Stegman
A graduate of Northern Arizona University in 1991, Doug has always made education a top priority. His active participation in a wide range of industry organizations keeps him well informed of the latest technologies and advanced product offerings. Drawing on his years of dental experience, Doug has parlayed this knowledge into the development of a number of new dental materials. Additionally, as an FDA-registered and DAMAS-certified laboratory, Stegman Labs serves as a clinical evaluator and consultant to a range of dental manufacturers.

Doug enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea and daughters Kate and Molly. He is an avid mountaineer who has climbed numerous peaks in the US, as well as South America and Mexico. Under Doug's leadership, Stegman Laboratories continues to be a leader in the field of aesthetic dentistry.
 Mel Taback, Quality Control Manager
Quality control remains the cornerstone of Stegman Laboratories' success, and Mel Taback is the one who ensures that only the highest quality products leave the labs. Trained in South Africa, he has more than 40 years of experience in the quality control field. Mel's unrivaled attention to detail, combined with his case planning expertise and soft-spoken manner, ensure our customers come back time and time again.

 Kathy Apthorp, Office Manager
A true dental pro, Kathy has worked in the industry for more than 30 years, and for the last seven years has called Stegman Laboratories home. Prior to joining the team, she worked at the largest dental lab in Arizona. Cheerful, highly efficient, and organized, Kathy keeps the company running smoothly and is happy to find the answer to any of your questions.
